When you hire DesignMind, you’re not
only getting exceptional graphic design work,
you’re also buying back your time. They have
a remarkable ability to fill in the gaps and
quickly understand the vision for a project,
often delivering exactly what you had in mind
with very little direction. Just as importantly,
we trust them completely which is critical

our pricing details

Choose between either an individual project quote with the left column,
or multiple projects / ongoing design work with one of the two right columns.

For the 2 Pre-Paid Subscriptions:

Intended Use = You can begin on any day of the month. Subscription prices and turnaround times are designed for the agreement of ongoing work, as you’re purchasing reserved capacity. They provide ongoing access to us and our time, and peace of mind that we’ve reserved space & energy to serve your needs consistently.

*Estimated Cost Per Request = The number of Business Days depends on the unique 30 day cycle specific to you. The ~ $204 and ~ $181 figures are estimated averages based on a standard 22-business-day month, which allows for completion of approximately 11 or 22 tasks (depending on the subscription). Because actual output depends heavily on the complexity of your requests and how quickly you provide feedback, your actual number of completed tasks and average cost per request will vary.

**Average Deliveries Per Month = The ~11 and ~22 estimates are tasks that are sometimes parts of larger projects (a small project may equal one task, but larger ones are divided up into multiple tasks for the 2 business day delivery cycles). For example, a 12-page brochure might be split into 3 tasks (depending on complexity), while a double-sided flyer or simple menu would be a single task. Sometimes we may need your input to inform a design. If we can work on other elements of this task in the meantime, we will (which is often the case). But if we cannot, the 2-day turnaround clock pauses while we wait for your reply, which may extend your final delivery date depending on the length of the delay (please note: this pauses the project delivery timeline, but does not pause your active subscription billing).

How Revisions Factor In = Once an active task is delivered, we immediately start the next item in your queue. You can submit revision requests via email or Slack (which will be noted on the spreadsheet queue as your next priority). As soon as we finish the current active task, we will cycle back to your edits. Simple edits may be turned around faster than 2 days, while substantial revisions may take a full 2 business day cycle or multiple cycles. Output of completed total projects depends on both the complexity of requests, as well as the speed of feedback communications.

For All 3 Services:

Visual Elements = We give visual form to your written content. If you have your own photography or visual elements that you want included, just let us know. Alternately, we can integrate licensed stock photography, icons, and graphic elements. We usually customize these to match your brand. With any licensed asset (whether altered or original), you have rights to use the finished total design commercially though the licenses do not transfer rights to you for using the individual elements again in any capacity as separate pieces. If you need to use these visuals elsewhere, let us know! We can either design custom elements for you from scratch, or help you secure the right licensing. Please speak with us before purchasing anything to ensure the license allows you to send the assets to third-party designers (us) for integration.

Payment Methods = For any service that we offer, payments can be made securely via PayPal, Stripe or Venmo. We cover all processing fees so there are no surprises on your invoice. Payments are billed in USD. If you have a different preferred payment platform, please let us know. If you discovered us through Upwork originally, we must work with you through that platform instead. For the pre-paid subscriptions, payment in full is processed before work begins. For individual quotes per-project, after you review the quote if you’d like to move forward, payment can either be made in full or installments with 25% upfront and remaining payments due as work is delivered.

how we use artificial intelligence

We use AI for research, learning,
and better understanding certain things
(in both work & daily life).

AI tools assist us in drafting
agreements/administrative and official
documents (like contracts), however
everything is reviewed, edited and finalized
by the two of us.

Some of the licensed stock photography and
visual elements we use may be AI-generated,
though we also often add our human touch.
AI helps us efficiently handle tasks like
expanding the edges of pictures (though
please note we do not use AI to create our
own faces and/or identities to represent us).

Our conversational words are us.
If we’re communicating with you, it’s
a real human interaction. If we’re
referencing something we asked AI about
in our message, we’ll always tell you.

The creative iteration of making
designs is done by us.

We appreciate AI’s ability to expand
possibilities in the world, while also wanting
to remain connected to that which makes
us human. Creativity comes from the soul
and it’s a big part of life that we enjoy.

Currently, layout is done by hand directly by us.
If we ever collaborate with AI on layouts in the
future, we will remain at the helm of the
creation process and apply our experience to
make the artistic decisions that result in a
polished, balanced design.

frequently asked questions

frequently
asked questions

  • We collaborate on creative art and design elements, while also contributing with unique independent strengths. Tim enjoys setting up files and automations, while Liza likes to iterate on the look & feel of the style. We both have that creative eye and share graphic design work, we're both systems-thinkers, and stay updated with the tasks we have on the table together. Liza takes care of communications though we are both in the loop with client interactions. Bringing projects to life together is something that has brought much joy to many pieces over the years, for both our clients and ourselves.

  • For any request or edit to be considered received on a given business day, it must be submitted to the job queue in the designated tracking sheet by 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Requests submitted after 5:00 PM, or on weekends and holidays, will be officially logged as received at 9:00 AM on the following business day.

  • If needed, you may pause at any time for up to 30 consecutive calendar days. Remaining unused paid business days pause, and the billing cycle shifts forward upon reactivation if you choose to renew. Pauses exceeding 30 days result in automatic cancellation. If you need to cancel at any time, or cancel while paused, or your 30-day pause expires, then a pro-rated percentge/partial refund is given by calculating the number of remaining business days in your month's subscription that are unused (starting the following day if cancelled between 9am-5pm EST on a business day, which also applies to pauses). Then multiplying by 75%. The 25% is retained by DesignMind LLC to account for the commitment of reserved capacity. When you purchase a prepaid monthly subscription, you have secured our time for that month of deliverables.

  • No. Towards the end of your month subscription, we'll reach out to extend the option of continuing your subscription for another month if you'd like.

  • After payment is completed, copyright ownership of the completed design transfers to you for commercial use. While you own the rights to the finished custom design, any third-party stock assets used within the project (such as stock photography, fonts, or icons) remain the property of their original creators (even if edited by us since we typically customize them). Because of these third-party licenses, the final design cannot be registered as a trademark or claimed as entirely exclusive artwork. These assets are licensed specifically for use within this final design and cannot be extracted, separated, or used independently from the file we provide. If you need source files there are compliance restrictions on what can be included, please reach out for more info or refer to the Terms & Conditions. If you require visuals that can be used in a trademarked work or other specific applications, we can create them from scratch instead or explore other options - please reach out and let us know your goals so we can guide accordingly.

  • We are W-9 independent contractors, though we have experience integrating into existing workflows through Slack or Asana etc and operate as an extension of your current team.

  • Yes, we're happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before discussing your project. If you need a NDA but don't have one prepared, just let us know and we can provide a template. We respect your privacy and intellectual property.

  • Please reach out to us with details of how we can support you with any project via the contact section below or the WhatsApp chat button in the bottom right corner of your screen, and we'll reply as soon as possible. Communication via email, WhatsApp or text message is most aligned with our work flow. If you need ongoing work, Slack is convenient too. If you prefer a call, we can schedule a time to do so. Happy to help!

creativity meets the everyday

Stacked stones by a lake and a leaf on the shiny green roof of a car

Creative energy is everywhere.

It's the visual language of our world.

The glue that helps us understand our

surroundings and experiences.

Colors and textures have been programmed

into our brains since the dawn of time.

We're visual translators by nature.

Using our eyes, intuition, and creativity

to communicate ideas is our specialty.

Collage of a high hat from a drum kit, and blue minimalist geometric stairs

You don't have to be an artist

to feel something from what you see.

Everything has an impact.

We interact with our world through

stimulation cues from our physical senses.

Where to go, what to eat, how to spend our time.

Decisions are made by instinct.

First impressions - how something looks,

sounds, and engages you, creates an experience.

Beach bonfire at sunset and a person standing on a pier

Our every day moments are filled with art and design.

A leaf landing perfectly on a car becomes

a welcomed pause for a busy mind.

Rocks turn into sculptures.

Lighting changes your mood.

Architecture reaches beyond function and you're flying

down a flight of bright stairs like a link to a different world.

Afternoon sun creates lines on your jacket while

birds make shapes on a clear sky backdrop.

Campfires hypnotize the primal part of our spirit.

Fresh wind, orange glow, rippling waves of warmth.

Movement, color, form, sensation, impact.
